Just love this book. I can't remember laughing and crying while I was reading a book love love love Denise Grover Swank's books!

A fun quick read, didn't want to put it down. Nice twist at the end though.

Holly has a new neighbor. He is sexy and sweet. Surprisingly, she wants to get to know him better. Until she finds out what could happen. Kevin comes home to so many surprises. Bad things come in threes, right? Between the house, the mom, and the job, what is a guy to do? Well for right now, getting to know his new neighbor sounds about right. Such a sassy and sweet story. The characters both have their hangups and their secrets. For good reasons. The give and take is compelling and draws the reader in. Plenty of surprises in store. ***This ARC provided by Netgalley and its publisher in exchange for an honest review only.

This book has left me speechless. I was so hooked from the very beginning that I finished the book in a blink of an eye. I totally recommend this book because of the amazing detail the author put in which tied the book together perfectly. I also loved the plot twist at the end and the romance between Holly and Kevin throughout the whole book. The book was just a wonderful and romantic. There are just no words to describe it other than WOW!

As with other books by DGS, this book was incredible. I cannot emphasize enough how well-developed the characters are. In this story, we have the pleasure of once again reacquainting with the main characters from the Wedding Pact series - Megan, Blair, and Libby, as well as "Knickers" and Gram. However, where the Wedding Pact focused on the girls, this series focuses on the "men" and their dysfunctional relationships with women. The main character in this book in Kevin, Megan's big brother. One of the fun things about this story was that in addition to the romance element, we also have more of the brother/sister relationship between the Vandermeer siblings. Again as typical with DGS books, once I started reading, I could not put it down. Her books have a way of completely absorbing the reader and I suggest not trying to read a DGS book unless you are prepared to devote a few hours to nothing but reading; her books are amazing and this is no exception. I absolutely loved it!

Another fantastic story. Love love love all books by this author. Great writing style. Can't wait for more!!!!

I cant remember the last time I laughed so hard reading a novel. This was fantastic, please dont hesistate to purchase it. Its funny, interesting and the writer really knows her Onions. I love this book and it will go down as one of my most favorite book!!!

I can't help falling in love with this story, the bachelor brotherhood is the new romantic series. After falling in love with the stories of the 3 friends in the wedding pact books this one is a must. Megan's brother, Kevin (Megan's story is on the substitute) made a pact with his two friends to stay away from women but it only lasted 1 day for him as he met his shy neighbor, Holly who also works for his insufferable mother (we met her in the substitute). Holly does not want to get involved with Kevin because of her job but they can't help it! The story is fresh, sweet, and humorous, it will get you hitched!

Buckeye State Girl

If you read the Wedding Pact series, this is a must read. I honestly didn't think I would like this book as much as I liked that series. I mean, how can anyone compare to Megan, Libby and Blair? Well, Holly sure did. I highly recommend this book and can't wait for the next one in the series.

Loved this book!! I'm so excited for this spinoff series of Denise Grover Swank's Wedding Pact Series! All the characters are back in ALL of their glory while Kevin gets his chance at love. If you haven't read DGS yet, start here! Fantastic read!!

Another great book by Denise. Love the story. The characters are fantastic. There's a little bit of everything. Literal laugh out loud moments. Make you cry moments. The only thing that bugged me was Holly. She was a little wishy washy in her convictions. Granted if there was a hot guy next door and my job was the only thing I was passionate about I can understand. But she would say one thing and then do the exact opposite the very next line. But I love love the characters. It was great to reconnect with some of the people from The Wedding Pact series. Overall a great book.

In the style typical to this author, Kevin and Holly are characters that grab ahold of your heart and simply don't let go. I loved that Holly could not resist Kevin and gave into her desires for him time and again...this was so much more satisfying as a reader than the angst created by characters who fight feelings the entire story. I'm became so invested to them as a couple that I found myself cheering each one of Kevin's conquests to break down Holly's walls. The tender dance scene after one of the weddings she'd planned was endearing. I also liked that she didn't play coy, as she put it, on the effect he had on her and in trying to hide her feelings for him...this was so much more satisfying than an entire story of characters who dance around their feelings for each other until the very end. This way we're able to enjoy their attraction to each other as the story continued to unfold. There are pockets of hilarious banter that not only demonstrated the author's dynamic writing style, but also made the book just that much more enjoyable: Megan turned onto the main street. “Oh, I believe it. She’s desperate for you to get married and have kids. She’s tired of waiting so she’s taking matters into her own hands.” “By setting me up with a crazy woman?” “Why are you so surprised? Crazy doesn’t recognize crazy.” “Who knows what germs are in that kitten’s claws?” she said, feeling more courageous than her usual self. Thank you, wine. “We can’t have your pretty face getting eaten by flesh-eating bacteria.” His eyes danced with amusement. “You think I have a pretty face?” She laughed. “I find it interesting that you pick up on that part of the sentence and not the flesh-eating bacteria.” All in all, I find that this is a great start to a new series and am anxiously awaiting the next installment.
