I adore Kendall Ryan and all of her incredible brilliance and Sexy Stranger is yet another perfect example of said brilliance! I loved everything about this book; from Luke & Charlotte's feisty/witty banter to the beautiful love they find in each other. Whether you're like me and have read all of Miss Ryan's work or it's your first ever Kendall Ryan book, you will not be disappointed! And if, by chance, it is your first, it will NOT be your last! 💙
A steamy and red-hot enemies-to-lovers romance like I've never read before!
Kendall Ryan brings us fire and sass in this all-new standalone romance. Sexy Stranger is completely entertaining, brimming with passion and desire. The chemisty between Luke and Charlotte was evident immediately. More bitterness and hostility at first, it was a joy to read how their feelings changed the more time they spent together. Even though they each had their apprehensions to start anything, their attraction was just too strong for either to deny what they really wanted. But with secrets still looming under the surface, you can't help but bite your nails with worry and uncertainty that a HEA might not happen.
Sexy Stranger checks all the boxes for a must read romance. Passion, yearning, raw emotions, and a unique story line are just a small handful of what overflows from this book. Kendall's exceptional writing makes reader's feel thoroughly engaged in her stories from beginning to end. Like her previous books, Sexy Stranger is an un-put-downable book, and you will devour it in one sitting!
An undoubted 5 star "get this book NOW" read!
I loved this book. I haven't read a book that had characters with so much chemistry but yet fought it by tossing insults back and forth. You hit a home run with this one Kendall!! Keep them coming, PLEASE!
Kendall Ryan gives us another sexy romance!
Set in a small town backdrop, Luke and Charlotte are opposites who heated up the pages like the scorching Texas sun!
On her way from New York to LA, Charlotte’s car breaks down in the tiny Texas town where Luke lives with his twin brother and their little sister. Family is everything to Luke and his siblings. When Charlotte and Luke meet for the first time, they aren’t exactly enamored with each other. However, we, the lucky readers, get the pleasure of watching Luke and Charlotte go from hate to lust to something more.
Written in Kendall Ryan’s signature style of easy flow and sexy steam, Sexy Stranger is sure to be another hit!!
This was such a fun, sexy, opposites attract read!!! Luke and Charlotte were perfect for each other. Whether it was their banter at the beginning of the book, or how they steamed up the pages, these two had chemistry in spades. Luke was so freaking swoons, and I LOVED his nickname for her. You definitely need to one click this!!!
Fantastic-- loved every minute of Luke and Charlottes banter.
Sexy Stranger was a fun and easy enemies to lovers romance. It definitely had a Pride & Prejudice vibe, with the hero and heroine making judgments and assumptions about the other without getting to know each other first. This is a standalone romance and is told from the points of view of both the hero, Luke, and the heroine, Charlotte.
Things start off a bit rocky when Charlotte and Luke first meet. There are lots of insults and barbs thrown and though there is an immediate attraction between the two, they both try desperately to bury those feelings. As things heat up (and boy do they heat up!), they both realize that they aren't quite as different as they seem to be. Will they be able to get past their emotional baggage filled pasts and insecurities though to find a happily ever after?
I did feel that there was some unnecessary drama thanks to a lack of communication and stubbornness by our characters. I also thought the appearance of a certain character at the end felt rushed and sort of out of place. I understand why this character showed up and where Luke and Charlotte were coming from, but it just seemed silly and forced. I did really like the secondary characters in this book though, especially Luke's siblings, Duke and Molly. They were honest and loyal and added some great comic relief throughout the story. I also really liked Charlotte's best friend, Valentina. A love connection was hinted at at the end of the book, but it's unclear if any more will be written with any of these characters.
Overall, this was a light and easy romance that fans of Kendall Ryan will definitely enjoy!
